EWIS Safety Concept
This one-day course will enhance participants’ knowledge about Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) safety aspects, for the aircraft’s initial and continued airworthiness.

Target Group:
- Part 21J (DOA) Office of Airworthiness, Compliance Verification Engineers, design engineers and any individual involved in certification of EWIS aircraft modification.
- Part 21G (POA), Qualify Manager, Production Engineers, and any individual involved in production / certification of EWIS aircraft modification.
- Alternate Part 21J (ADOA) applicants who involve in design & modification (minor / STC) of large aircrafts, appliances and its certification process and procedures
- Part 145 large aircraft inspectors, certifying staff and continued airworthiness managers.
- Any individual, consultants or organizations that involve in minor/STC modification and / or repair in EWIS aircraft

This course will enhance participants’ knowledge about Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS) safety aspects, for the aircraft’s initial and continued airworthiness.
Objectives of the course:
By the end of this course, participants will have gained an in depth understanding of:
- Introduction of EWIS and the regulatory background
- Design and modification implementation concept for system & components on the EWIS aircraft
- Guidance to the regulatory requirements for development of EWIS maintenance and inspection procedures.
- Certification process and risk assessment on design and modification of EWIS aircraft.
- The purpose and development of EWIS ICA
- Improve and enhance EWIS safety in aircraft wiring.

- Introduction to EWIS and its safety aspects towards regulatory requirements.
- Overview of EASA CS 25, Subpart H, associated AMCs and the compliance requirement.
- Standard practice in design, implementation, modification on the EWIS aircraft.
- Consideration of EASA AMC 20-21, AMC 20-22 & AMC20-23
- Guidance and procedures in developing EWIS ICA and supplement.
- Developing inspection and maintenance program using EZAP.

- EASA, Certification Specifications and Acceptable Means of Compliance for Large Aeroplanes CS-25, Subpart H, latest amendment.
- EASA AMC 20-21, AMC 20-22 & AMC20-23
- FAA AC 25.1701 – 1, Certification of Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems on Transport Category Airplanes.
